Lori E. Jolly has been practicing law in Atlanta since 1999. Before moving to Georgia, she practiced law in the Greenville-Spartanburg area in South Carolina. Her practice focuses on civil litigation in state and federal courts. She has represented victims of injury or death including, those injured by defective products, automobile collisions, tractor-trailers collisions, and victims of catastrophic injury resulting in traumatic brain injury. She also has practiced juvenile criminal defense in the South Carolina Family Courts system. Mrs. Jolly has represented both injured individuals and medical professionals in medical malpractice claims.

Education

Mrs. Jolly was born  in Union, South Carolina. She attended public school and graduated in 1986 from Paul M. Dorman High School in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Mrs. Jolly attended Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina and graduated in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Government. While at Wofford College, she was a founding sister of the Zeta Eta chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta Women's Fraternity.

Immediately following college, Mrs. Jolly attended the University of South Carolina School of Law. While attending law school, she served as a South Carolina Senate Page for the Honorable Horace C. Smith. In 1993, she received a JD degree.

Professional Experience

From 1993-1998, Mrs. Jolly practiced law in Spartanburg, South Carolina with the Law Offices of Danny E. Allen. With the Law Offices of Danny E. Allen, she represented victims in personal injury claims arising from automobile collisions, defective products, and, tractor-trailer collisions. During 1993-1998, Mrs. Jolly also practiced criminal law as an Assistant Public Defender for the Spartanburg County Public Defender's Office. As an Assistant Public Defender, she was responsible for the defense of juveniles charged with truancy or other criminal charges throughout Spartanburg County, South Carolina.

In 1998, Mrs. Jolly moved to the Atlanta area and became an associate with Keegan Federal & Associates. While with Keegan Federal, she represented parties to contract disputes, parties in domestic relations matters, and injury victims in personal injury claims, with special focus on traumatic brain injuries.

In 2004, Mrs. Jolly became an associate at Paul D. Hermann, PC. At Paul D. Hermann, PC, she represented people injured as the result of medical negligence and people injured in auto collisions.

In 2006, Mrs. Jolly joined Commander + Pound, as an associate. At Commander + Pound, she represents medical professionals in medical malpractice claims as well as plaintiffs in personal injury litigation.

Success Stories

Mrs. Jolly has successfully mediated or otherwise resolved numerous personal injury cases. She has authored several articles concerning guardianships and competency for the Brain Injury Resource Foundation website. She is admitted to practice in the Superior Courts of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Supreme Court of Georgia, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, all South Carolina State Courts, including the South Carolina Supreme Court, and the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina.
