About Us
Commander+Pound is a law firm founded on the principal that every accident victim deserves access to the same high-quality trial lawyers available to the best surgeons, doctors, hospitals and medical professionals in Georgia.
Experience and Perspective
The firm does not handle medical malpractice claims and does not sue doctors and hospitals.
By excluding medical malpractice from its practice, Commander+Pound can use its medical experience, knowledge and professional contacts throughout Atlanta and the State of Georgia, to build personal injury and wrongful death cases for Georgia residents injured in car accidents, trucking accidents, construction accidents and other personal injury and wrongful death cases.
We believe this gives us a unique perspective of your case and brings a wealth of experience in litigating injury cases that is an asset to the injured people and families we agree to represent.
While other firms proudly proclaim they do not work for hospitals, big businesses or large corporations, Commander+Pound takes the knowledge of what the other side knows and puts it to work for you.
Medical plus Legal
In the early 1990s, Scott Commander+Ted Pound met at Alston & Bird, Atlanta’s largest law firm, where Scott Commander joined as a young associate out of law school and Ted Pound was working as a partner in the firm’s medical malpractice group.
Scott Commander left the firm in 1996 to begin representing accident victims in personal injury and wrongful death cases. Ted Pound continued his medical defense career at Alston & Bird until 2000.
Subsequently, the two former co-workers founded Commander+Pound, determined to put their extensive trial experience and medical knowledge to work fighting for the rights of Georgians serious injured in personal injury or wrongful death cases.
Together, Scott Commander, an experienced personal injury and wrongful death trial lawyer, and Ted Pound, a veteran trial lawyer with success in serious or catastrophic personal injury or wrongful death litigation, bring more than 40 years of experience in complex trials into the courtroom on their client's behalf.
